I also dislike organisationed religion and was tempted to upvote this. But I don’t think we can get rid of it by simply killing the leaders, or any other magic wand. I think having moderate religious leaders in place while it slowly dies out is the best we can hope for.

And the people of the USA are not the US government and yet I’m boycotting all US products. I feel really bad about it sometimes because some US products I’m no longer buying come from small, ethical (on paper at least) employee owned companies. But as someone who is not in the US, this is the only action I can take in response to the US government.

If people from Israel would like to holiday in the Maldives then they have a bit of work to do. Step 1 is to overthrow their fascist government.

From a consumer perspective it’s a good solution for internet in remote areas and Ontario has a lot of remote areas. I used it for a couple of years when my only other option was a local wireless provider with an expensive high speed plan with advertised downloads up to 10Mbps, but actually never got anywhere near that. I’m lucky that I now have fibre and my starlink hardware is collecting dust in the shed.

Nothing that exciting. I just live in a very small community, quite a distance from any larger community, and I’m pretty sure that at the scale of that map - my community doesn’t exist. If I zoom in enough, maybe there’s something there, but I think it’s digital compression artefacts.

I don’t think I am - and I do like it.

India has 17% of the world’s population - on a scale like this image, that’s not far off “about half”! It looks right to me.
