Anyone who follows a bit of the politics in the Israeli government over the last few years is probably not that shocked. This removed is one of the cruelest most dangerous people in the Israeli government.

She has publicly stated that is more important to “flatten” (ie genocide and complete destruction) gaza so that Jews can go live there (something about a religiously important location there) than save the Israeli hostages. Nah, the jewish bible actually does forbid all kinds of legitimate sex acts such as masturbation and homosexuality, but it does not say anything specifically about children, what it does say is that you are an adult past 12 for girls and past 13 for boys.

So even without any interpretation tricks, the hebrew bible allows for an adult to have sex with a 12 yo girl, which is rape. And with some interpretation tricks some claim that sex with a child before coming of age is not really sex as they are not yet sexual beings or some BS like that.

To clearify, I don’t support any religion, they are all bad IMO, but I do recognize that most religious people are not extremists and tend to share most of the morals of their time over the morals of their religion.

Even if you are right and nothing is a worthy comparison. Let me ask you a somewhat practical and important moral question:

If I murdered 10 people by shooting them in the head because they are black

Or if I murdered 10 people by slowly torturing them until they die from shock, this time it had nothing to do with who they are, just that I want to do this to someone.

What is worse? A terrible motivation or a terrible outcome?

And now that I asked that, maybe you are thinking that it is kind of a moot point, both are horrible, for both I should be in jail for life if not executed, right?

So we all can agree that out of all of the horrific things possible, genocide is one of the worst. A genocide is already hitting max on the horrifying scale, practically speaking, Hitler should have been in jail for life ir executed, but just because what Netanyahu is doing is not as horrific as the Holocaust, does not mean he shouldn’t also be in jail for life or executed, right?

And what would be the benifit of keeping the Holocaust in a category of it’s own? Does comparing it to something else that basically hits the max on the horrifying scale really reduces from the horrifying reality of the Holocaust?

For the sake of making a better world, I think comparing genocides to genocides, no matter the scale, no matter the horrificness, is the right way to make sure that people understand that any genocide is already as horrifying as it gets

And one last point that I think really drives it home. On the individual level do you think it matters? Does a starving, scared, injured, homeless, orphaned child cares if he is part of the Holocaust or the Gaza genocide? If you take a survivor from each, would you be able to say who is more deeply scarred?

IMO it feels like the Steam Deck was built with 3 goals in mind:

• Longevity
• Playability
• UX

And the competition feels more like

• Specs
• Gimmicks

Like, sure, better gpu and cpu and ram is great, but it’s kind of shit if the battery barely lasts or tge performance is worse because of lack of compatibility with Windows or the repairability is shit you need to buy a new device if it falls.

Ironicly it reminds me a bit of early android vs iphone. Where Iphone was built with real ingenuity and leading the market, while android was this mess of companies trying everything to “out compete” Apple. The irony being that tge steam deck is the open and inclusive one unlike the iphone.

Sure, a market crash means nothing to someone who doesn’t own stocks. But it means a lot to their workplace, food suppliers, electronics manufacturers, insurance company, healthcare provider, etc.

The poor always get screwed the most in economic collapses, they just get it second hand by prices going up, mass firing, rent going up, loans getting worse, and public services being cut.
