Sure, but the children are people; they do not have the experience of wisdom to make choices and rely on adults to teach them wisdom from their experience.

It’s not your job, but those kids are the ones paying for their parents’ value system, and so the adults teaching them aren’t teaching them well. Children are people, and are being let down. Theyre not kitset projects for parents.

One day those people will be expected to make their own choices, and the only foundation they’ll have to decide with is what they’re taught now. It’s not your job, but it’s everybody’s civic responsibility to contribute to a healthier collective society, and children are a part of that.

When the people vote with wallets, the rich get tens of thousands more votes.

A single rich friend will compensate a boycott from thousands of impoverished people who could already barely afford their goods in an instant.

Like, still do it; our actions are a reflection of our values. But don’t make it your only plan.

The eggs aren’t even that much more expensive to produce. The hit has only been about 2%. There’s still plenty of eggs. And it’s the same with getting free range eggs instead of battery/cage - the increase in production price is pretty small, really.

It comes down to the same thing: the market charging premiums. They charge more for free range because it’s ‘luxury’. They charge more for organic because it’s ‘lifestyle’. And they charge more for eggs during US strife because it’s ‘supply and demand’.

They have the supply. They also have an excuse, and nobody is regulating them. The country doesn’t need to buy eggs en masse, it needs to regulate pricing.
