Yea, but these people are saying they are morally against it but still did it when push came to shove. I’m glad they’re speaking about it, but it’s so weird to be all “I’m morally scarred” about an action you did not have to take and knew was wrong at the time. Again, VERY glad they’re speaking out, but I wish they just didn’t do it in the first place.
Yea, I was definitely not denying it. Just wondering why someone who is morally against it would do it in the first place.
I’m glad that they are speaking out, but why didn’t they say no? He says they tried to talk their commanding officer out of it, but then they just did it anyway? If they knew it was wrong, why didn’t they do it? Again, glad they’re speaking out, but it’s so weird that they did it in the first place.
“41 Joshua subdued them from Kadesh Barnea to Gaza and from the whole region of Goshen to Gibeon. 42 All these kings and their lands Joshua conquered in one campaign, because the Lord, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.”
-Joshua 10:41-42
It was called conquering the first time when people said they were doing it for God. No need to shy away from it now. Maybe they’re not all that familiar with the Hebrew Bible, huh? Maybe they’re just using this as an excuse to genocide the people of Palestine?
I understand that not everything can be easily transitioned to renewables, but my gosh when sanctions started I stupidly thought in addition to throwing money at the war effort, we would throw money into energy independence through solar, wind, and renewables. We didn’t, of course, so now we’re back to square one, minus so many lives needlessly taken.
Just a small note for clarity, but the US is not demanding a tariff from China. The US is imposing a tariff on goods from China, and US citizens are the ones that pay that. It’s not like Trump is asking China to fork over a bunch of money. He’s telling Americans that if they want Chinese goods they are going to have to pay even more. In theory, this would cause Americans to buy less of these goods because essentially they can’t afford them, and therefore China suffers, but money coming from the US is probably not going to affect China the way that increased tariffs will affect Americans.
