That’s basically what hibernate is. Shouldn’t be hard to offer as an option.
The difficult bit is having it wake from sleep to hibernate itself. I suspect that would require hardware.
Hibernate would be great as it’s a slightly longer restore, but should work the same (if you are willing g to sacrifice the disk space)
Being able to pick up the deck and know it will have battery left would be really nice. It drains pretty fast in sleep mode.
Got my hopes up there might be some sleep limit too. Would much prefer if it shuts down/hibernated after being asleep for more than 26 hours (or past a certain battery level)
That’s what I get for getting my news from Lemmy memes.
Updated my comment
So him not meeting Vance earlier may not have been a snub then ☹️ (he did)
Was he involved in any of the traditional Easter stuff? (He was)
I remember there being someone held back a year. I think it happens.
Yeh, my understanding is that this was a ruling on the current law, they said that if they rules otherwise, the law would be unworkable I think?
So therefore parliament should legislate properly about it rather than just trying to bend what already existed.
Is there any evidence that this is what happened?
Cool in theory
They stop being effective. At 50% if there is another supplier they will be cheaper and get picked. If you set it to 100% or 200% it doesn’t make much of a difference. Trade just stops between the countries unless there is only a single supplier for what you need.
The idea is that China can’t live without selling stuff to the US… But it’s easier for them than it would be for the US.
Everyone is fucked
Na, we should get rid of that idea completely. If everyone used one time like UTC (other time zones are available) and just align your working hours etc to your location.
Then 14:00 is 14:00 everywhere, just that some are asleep then, others are awake!
That’s always been true of city warfare though. Tanks are not designed for that.
Wait, really?
So you need a visa to transit through the US?
Their size makes them very hard to turn too, so you can see them a while off, but that doesn’t help if it takes Kms to stop.
It also only helps if there is someone actually looking out of the window…
Oil tanker was likely carrying aviation fuel for the US military (as per the BBC).
Let the conspiracy theories begin! (Does jet fuel melt ships!?!)
This happened not far off the coast. Looks like the oil tanker was at anchor waiting, while the cargo ship ploughed into it.
Oil tankers are not exactly the most nimble of ships, even if it tried to get out of the way.
Reus2 has been most of my deck commuting playtime if I’m honest. Great little game with endless replayability.
Huh
