I assure you, the US is very real

Looks like Voyager does not support it, and the developer is not eager to add the functionality. This is their most recent comment on the issue, commented an entire year ago:

While I won’t support showing display_name by default, I would consider showing a future flair by default.

I would also support adding a setting to show display_name if it was off by default.

I would argue that having a display name that indicates something different than the true name could lead to confusion for people like me who always disable showing display names (for both users and communities). Though, I am not sure how common it is for people to use this setting like me.

With all that said, in the end, this is probably the best solution for the community. I can’t be too disappointed.

This is where my opinion currently lies. On one hand, the fediverse (and this community) is so small that having discussion for the whole Steam hardware ecosystem in one place makes sense. On the other hand, the name of this community is “Steam Deck”. The point of this community should be discussion about the Steam Deck. I wouldn’t want people posting unrelated news and help requests here.

I think the only way to change the name of the community is by setting a display name, but I do not think that would be sufficient for this purpose. I think the best route of action would be to create a new community called /c/SteamHardware or something. Or just use one of the multiple existing /c/Steam communities.

Is there a Steam Frame community on the fediverse?

Is your complaint that your fingers do not wrap entirely around the grips or something? It looks very natural to hold to me. Like an even more ergonomic Steam Deck.

Yeah, people had said the same thing about the Steam Deck’s face layout, but everyone who has actually used one loves the ergonomics.

That could be improved by matching the beat. Either by speeding up the animation, slowing down the audio, or a little of both

I use it as a scroll wheel on my Steam Deck often. Scroll with the left, point with the right.

This may not be a revolutionary feature for me, but this addresses one of the biggest gripes I have had with the Steam Deck since release.
