Imagine if Carney plays him so well that he becomes a trusted voice in Trump’s head, like Putin is. In such a scenario, Trump would pit Carney’s words on econ against his advisors. 😂

I think he handled him well.
Why did he loose the first vote? I don’t know enough German politics to answer it myself.
Where’s the gas coming from from 2027 onwards? Azerbaijan, US?
I don’t think we (Canada) can build the infrastructure needed to supply that by 2027.
Perhaps nationalize the unprofitable facility in order to keep the capability?
It’s what I’m asking myself.
In all fairness, a free trade deal is probably not what we, the comrades of the Socialist Regime of Canada, want. I think we’d be better off with something less Lessaiz-Faire.
I was told many times that the extremists who hold this agenda in Israel are a small minority and do not represent Israel or have much power over its policy.
I read a theory that they want to devalue the USD to bolster exports, while holding access to the US market hostage in order to negotiate a new deal that keeps the USD as a reserve currency. TBH, if the US market was as important for the world as it used to be post WWII, perhaps they could pull that off without uncontrollable hemorrhage. Today though… that’s not as strong of a hand as they might think.
Don’t some in the current admin want them to dump bonds though?
I for one didn’t expect someone to resign this quickly.
PP has Mr. Kurek to thank. Some of you will understand this statement differently than others. 😂
So is this like … concentrating… the people into a smaller area, like uh … camp?
Aha, so what they’re getting is some form of continued weapons delivery. Do you know if they’re getting all the weapons they need? Rory Stewart says US would be stopping the deliveries of some of the important missile systems. I haven’t checked that independently.
I think US companies have and still do operate in regions with active conflict, so their operations don’t seem to provide the shield Magno Mussolini suggests. All Putin has to do is … not target them. I’m not implying you’re saying otherwise, I’m just filling in the detail.
Why, cost of labor?
I didn’t downvote btw.
So if there’s no security guarantees here, why are they signing this? I understand that this would let American capital flow into these ventures in Ukraine, but I doubt only American firms want to mine those resources. I’d imagine they can get a better deal if they shop around. Smells like a grift by some in Ukraine’s top brass.
If German unions keep tight control of the working conditions and pay, perhaps this is a decent strategy for getting cheaper EVs into Europe.
This is amazing and it means Big Social has APIs for this. Which in turn means that we can build a similar system in Canada and have them open up the APIs for it. I suspect we’d need legislation forcing them to cooperate.
Yeah - “the most attacked country in the world” - WTF.
Don’t they also supply components for Ukraine’s drones?
