The United States descends to the level of economic relevance as South Africa and the rest of the world continues as usual.
Trade tariffs can work if they are used as a scalpel, If they are applied very precisely and explicitly they kind of achieve the desired effect. Trump is just wielding them around like a mallet and is repeatedly hitting himself in the groin while everyone stands at a safe distance away and watches with mild amusement.
China doesn’t want to war between Europe and Russia.
It would force Europe to rapidly develop military capability and when Europ inevitably won that war, it would still have a vast military and might be feeling a bit touchy about dictatorships. China likes the world as it is right now, they have a lot of long-term plans and Russia suddenly ceasing to exist would mess all those plans up.

Just based on Trump’s previous administration I’m confident that if he actually tried to do that it would cause serious arguments between the military and the executive branch. The military already decided to pretty much ignore him when he was going on in his last term about nuclear weapons, fortunately it never came up.
It’s not just whether or not the missiles were maintained, they probably weren’t, but due to the amount of corruption it’s also possible they are lacking critical components that Russia thinks they still have.
Every bad guy in every movie gets his nuclear material from some corrupt Russian military official. Maybe it’s true.
Germany is still so uncertain of the risk that they still use Russian gas even 4 years after saying they were going to stop.

There was a rumor going around that he is dying and he is basically just doing this to try and make a name for himself, he will rebuild the USSR and it will stand for a thousand years as him as its founding father, and all that rubbish. Of course it’s impossible for that to happen, but if he’s dying anyway why not try?
Apparently it’s only American kids that are at risk of these things.
The MEGA crowd only cares about themselves, it’s unfortunate that normal people have to suffer but the only way to snap them out of their brainwashed state, is to force them day, after day, after day, after day, to suffer the consequences of their own idiot decisions. That means long-term economic hardship for Americans as a direct result of Trump’s actions.
Many have already lost their jobs because it turns out that they are “The Waste”, and +5 Trump districts are now booing their own representatives in town halls, so maybe that realization will come sooner than later.
If eggs are $8 a pack (I’m assuming that’s a pack of six), then there is no way that imports would be any better even if they weren’t tariffed. The average price of eggs in the UK comes out at the equivalent of around $1-3 per pack of 6, so unless you can internationally ship them for $4 or less, it’s not going to make any difference.
Unfortunately Europe can’t wait four years for the US to start taking their responsibilities on the world stage seriously again. Russia will almost certainly move within that time, so Europe is now having to build up its defenses in a way that they’ve never previously had to do since the 1940s. Assuming the US does come around (that is a big “if”) by that point Europe will have already got used to using its own military. The US will no longer be required.
I really don’t see any way that things can now go back to the way they were. Trade will, but I think the days of cooperative military action are over. If you guys get embroiled in another pointless war in the Middle East, I think you’re going to have to do that on your own.
Unfortunately they have totally unpreventable tariffs right now. I said totally unavoidable. No way to prevent it.
I saw one a few months ago and I don’t think any two panels were square with the neighboring panel. They were all at least four or five mm out of alignment.
So it’s no surprise that water gets in and they catch fire, it’s not really a solid object, as much as a collection of loosely associated pieces.
I’ve had my car for 15 years. Also a Yeti, I’m Ship of Theseusing it to the end times. It had new tires, new suspension, new fan belt, new battery, new rear wiper motor, new windscreen, and a new wiring harness.
It’s also been driven into a tree and brick wall on two separate occasions (not by me). And the radio has never worked.
It’s rather like an unreliable tank, It can plow through anything as long as you throw money at it afterwards.

What’s quite funny is that in Europe there was never really much hatred for communism. It wasn’t what we did, but we weren’t bothered by it. The red scare was an entirely American phenomenon.
However fast forward 40 years and suddenly it’s the reverse. America like Russia and Europe is talking about the threat of invasion.
