I’m likely to end up in the same situation unfortunately. I’m cancelling the card for unrelated reasons, so I don’t really anticipate any way to see my money again.
That’s the nature of monopoly. What are people going to do? Never leave the house?

It’s been too long. Most credit cards only allow a limited period of time to challenge a charge. I stupidly hoped that it would be rescheduled. You know, since Ticketmaster told me it would be. After 60-90 days, the money is theirs whether they deliver a product or not.
Thanks for the financial advice bro.
The point is that they borrow money for free. It’s theft even if they one day refund the tickets. Because that’s how money works. Apparently you should know that since you’re clearly an expert.
Ticketmaster owes me a couple hundred dollars for a show that’s been “delayed” for a year now. Meanwhile, I’m paying interest on the credit charges.
There’s no way to get a refund or dispute the charges.
It should be illegal.

Almost all of the hostages have been freed through negotiated agreements. Netanyahu pretending that renewed military pressure will solve this is a betrayal of the hostages’ lives. Bring them home now!
The rules of the !News community are enforced with the best consistency we can manage. I do not make moderation decisions based on my personal beliefs, but the beauty of federation is that there are many news communities to follow and contribute to if you don’t approve of moderation decisions.
I have never defended torture of any kind, but feel free to link any comments that I have made if you need clarification.
Lastly, if someone who often supports Israel says this is particularly bad, what does that tell you?
This is a particularly disturbing escalation of rhetoric. For those who don’t know, these types of statements have until now come from far-right leaders propping up the government. This is from Netanyahu’s own party, which he controls with pretty much total authority.
This is an extremely dark option. Creating 2 million refugees in Africa, Europe, or elsewhere in the Middle East is patently bad for the people, bad for the world, and bad for Israel. Literally no upside for anyone (except for real estate developers).
And they should smile more, too. /s
So that’s when America was great. It all makes sense now.
Israeli artillery and air strikes hit southern Lebanon after its military said it intercepted three rockets launched from a Lebanese district about 6km (4 miles) north of their shared border. Israel said it targeted rocket launchers it claimed belong to Hezbollah, which it holds responsible for the launches.
The Lebanese group issued a statement denying any involvement in the series of rocket attacks on northern Israel from southern Lebanon.
surprising to whom?
Can we stop referring to it as a social media platform and call it a scam victim aggregator?
I don’t agree with that statement at all.
Whether an action is justified or not has nothing to do with whether it is a blockade. We can debate the former, but you’ve already admitted that we agree on the latter. It is, by any rational definition, not a blockade. You’ve said as much. Why are you talking in circles about this? Just move on.
I’m not sure what you are arguing here. Clearly we agree this is not a blockade, and your “evidence” that the terrorism is somehow valid is that one of the boats used to belong to an American company?
It might be a blockade if they were attempting to block arms or other goods to Israel, but they have long since abandoned that pretense.
By international law, a blockade must be enforced by naval ships, and violating vessels must be duly warned before being boarded and redirected. The crew and cargo may be captured or released according to the relevant laws.
They are just launching rockets at any vessel in range.
Even if you somehow consider the Houthis the legitimate government of Yemen (I think maybe Iran and a few others do), that just makes it state terrorism.
Hard to argue that this is really a blockade. Maybe in the broadest sense. It’s a violent rebel group attacking civilians in hopes of punishing political rivals with no other clear objective. That’s basically the definition of terrorism.
Hezbollah couldn’t decide if they wanted to be an armed wing of Iranian influence in Lebanon or a legitimate political party. They can’t have both. I hope the next leader doesn’t make the same mistakes.
This could go potentially be a war crime.
