Not only are they doing well, they have a new 3d mode or game coming out, not sure which it was.

I read about their native implementation and think that is awesome of them. I have been meaning to try it again since but honestly remain skeptical that it’s an enjoyable experience, for my standards at least. I think that is a game that will remain on desktop for me.

Yeah that’s fair. I definitely made do with less than ideal playing conditions when I was younger and it was all I could manage. Bit of a privileged take from me.

I am continuously shocked that people play things like BG3 or Cyberpunk on their Steam Deck. I love my Deck, and play it lots, but those games run like absolute garbage on it.

Steam Frame is their new VR headset (not an Index successor, more a Quest competitor).

Hope it’s good because honestly BG3 was unplayable on Steam deck for me despite being “verified”.

It’s incredible as an emulation machine. And emudeck made it incredibly easy to set up.

I don’t believe this is real, but the all caps words aren’t random. They’re clearly for emphasis, the same kinds of words I might capitalize for effect. That is not really the unbelievable aspect of this scenario.

I do a lot of things other than gaming.

Well it’s not a very compelling sales pitch to tell me to ditch the multiple thousands of dollars of hardware and just buy new stuff. If the goal is to get people to switch to Linux from Windows, I hope you’re not the one leading the charge.

Even among that I’ve varied. In one installation I have Windows sharing a drive, separate partition for Linux. In another computer they’re on completely different drives.

Not all instances were dual booting, nor are all of the problems I’ve encountered or described above related with dual booting.
