Preemptive defense is just a fancy way of saying first strike.

And if you’re going to do a first strike against russia, you need a lot of capacity. A lot. You basically have to destroy nuclear assets in three hemispheres at the same time. Not including the oceans.

First strike is a great tool against asymmetric adversaries, but peer or near peer adversaries it’s not an option

There are two scenarios here:

• The Palestinian people are a separate people, and not Israel’s responsibility. In which case, Israel has no business preventing these independent people from talking with the Spanish

• The Palestinian people are part of Israel, and they are being given unequal access to Spain.

In either scenario, Israel is acting as an apartheid state or as a colonial apartheid state…

Not criticizing, and this is a terrible situation.

If an article says bodies are piling up, and it has photos of things other than bodies being piled up, the article is either missing the point, or using the wrong headline.

100% believe the reports, but the fact that the photos are things other than the article title hurts their credibility. The article would have had more impact without any photos, if they couldn’t produce photos of their headline item.

As sad and sobering as this is, it does mean their very strict quarantine was effective in delaying the deaths of 2M people for 2-3 years.
