While the idea sounds good I don’t think anyone should be setting a precedent to say it’s okay for elected governments to ban opposition parties from running based on their political views. Ultimately the people should hold the power.

I honestly am starting to think that compulsory service is a good thing, I wish I’d had to do it. I’ve known lots of people who are from countries that have to do it and I expected them to hate it but they seemed fine with it. And they all had much better self-discipline than the normal person.
We learnt about it at school, but England has a lot of history to learn and other than “it’s bad” it doesn’t exactly have a whole lot of relevance as far as applications go. The modern issues with racism are a bit more nuanced than “people who look different are animals”.
