Valve’s goal with it is to “have a standardized interface so that SteamOS specific features in the Steam client, e.g. TDP management, can be exposed in any linux distro that provides an implementation of this DBus API”
Some companies are trying to move core features under their closed source umbrella and Valve is exposing their features so that other Linux distros can make use of it.
Gigachad behavior

Don’t forget educational institutes. Linux should be the defacto OS at such places. The younger generation’s first interaction with a PC is at school. If they are used to Linux from a young age, this is greatly help them ease into the Linux mindset (package manager, terminal).

Just giving you an update. I gave it for repair and it got accepted for warranty. I kept my Ally like a baby so they couldn’t find any physical fault with it. They changed the motherboard for free and now the SD card reader is working again. However, I am not sure if the problem will recur again.

Yes.
Right now I’m documenting the fault and status of the device. I have heard that Asus sometimes “add” extra damage to the device so that they can claim it’s not covered under the warranty.

There’s no reason this should impact your warranty. But also your ASUS warranty is meaningless anyway. Unless you want your device held for a ransom
I currently have an issue with my device. The SD card reader is faulty. It was not working on Bazzite. I thought maybe it might work on Windows (but chances were low). I installed Window and saw the SD card reader was indeed fried.
Now if I submit my device with Bazzite to the Asus representative, they might say “different OS, we can’t help! hurr durr” and send me back. You can’t argue with these on-field agents. I took the safe way and replicated the problem on Windows.
I heard some technicians replace the MB, apply proper shielding, adjust the fan curves, during the repair process so that the issue does not repeat. I’m hoping for this outcome.

No wonder it was so laggy on Bazzite. So I should download the Windows version, I guess.

If you have a USB Type C dock with ethernet, it should be solvable, right?

Regarding battery, learn how to utilize power draw slider. Unless necessary, play games on 30-60 FPS. Your battery will thank you for that.

I liked the game so much, I finished it in 3-4 sittings. So it was not a “pick up and put down” game. But it’s probably my fault. Now I have to unlock the good ending.

trying to install apps or programs on the Deck if they are not on Flathub is quite a common use-case
an average user should not have this problem on the first week

Nowadays, I don’t even check if it’s SD compatible. I just check if it’s controller-friendly.

A happy fuck Microsoft to you as well 🎩

Since Microsoft also wants x86 apps to work on their Qualcomm powered Windows laptops, can this project help Microsoft in some way?

Valve can poke Rockstar but they (Valve) can’t magically make the anticheat work. It has to come from the developer

Nuclear apocalypse happens and internet is down
It will be there eventually, but on Valve time. There isn’t any huge issue with what AMD is releasing
