The European Union launched a drive on Monday to attract scientists and researchers to Europe with offers of grants and new policy plans, after the Trump administration froze U.S. government funding linked to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

It’s a start but it’s not even close to enough if we go through with the plan of cutting billions from our programs. Also the scientists need labs, equipment, etc., one-time capital costs that the US has already spent for its programs that the EU would need to do if they want to soak up these researchers.
US scientist know like no one else to live on ramen for at least 4 years.
