The government has proposed, starting this summer, to make it illegal for people in Sweden to pay someone to have sex or masturbate in front of a camera. One of the arguments for the bill is that platforms such as OnlyFans could become a gateway to prostitution. they’re extending swedish prostitution law to cover online content, which basically means it’s legal as long as it’s free.
This would also make most porn illegal no? Since the actors are paid?
there sure are some people in the riksdag trying to ban that too, but they are working on their own law.
but yeah, if this goes through it definitely sounds like buying porn would fall under the same banner as hiring a prostitute.
